Avatar still king

I don't know how many times I've heard this or that movie is supposed to challenge Avatar for all time box office king, but they never ever get to Titanic. I hope it remains king for awhile.

Very awesome read man! I didn't know that it has such a modest opening weekend, yet it ended up being top dog! I too hope that it remains king for a long time, at least until the sequels come out :) ;)

yeah it's crazy how bad of an opening weekend it had compared with how it ended, seemed to me word of mouth was huge with Avatar. I don't think many knew what to expect from the previews.

I'm so happy it's still the biggest movie of all time! Every time there's a blockbuster coming out, I get this fear it'll outrank Avatar; I was really worried about the Avengers, now let's see what will happen with the Hobbit...

Yea I really wish I would have gone seen it in the theaters, but I didn't quite understand the preview, and another factor was that I still didn't realize there would be a movie like that in the winter, I was still used to thinking of "summer movies", and ather factor for me was that was a CRAZY winter here, and I had my nose in lots of weather stuff as we got storm after storm that winter, that was the winter where we got a foot+ of snow on Christmas with 5foot drifts.

they seem to be hyping these other movies up like each one will beat Avatar...I sure hope not because even though I like LOTR and will go see The Hobbit it's impact won't be anything like Avatar, at least not for myself.

doubt any movie, will beat avatar.. maybe avatar 2 or 3.. ;)

Avengers did great but still needed to almost double it's $$$ to beat Avatar. lol

yea they do hype them up, I am a bit worried by the Hobbit, although it is kind of interesting since it has been shot in the higher frame rate that Cameron was wanting to use, if I have the money I will go see it, that is one bad point of it coming out over the holidays:/
